Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the JobsForExpats.de platform (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and JobsForExpats.de ("we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or via an in-platform notice.

2. Use of the Platform

JobsForExpats.de is an online job board connecting international job seekers with employers in Germany and across Europe. You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable German, EU, or international law or regulation.
• Post or transmit any content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform in a manner that disrupts normal operations.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these Terms, without prior notice and without liability.

3. Job Postings

Employers are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of job postings published on the Platform. By submitting a job posting, you represent and warrant that:

• The posting describes a genuine, currently open position within your organization.
• The posting complies with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws, including the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) and EU Directive 2000/78/EC.
• You are authorized to collect and process candidate personal data in connection with the advertised role.
• The posting does not contain misleading salary information, fraudulent requirements, or deceptive content.

We reserve the right to review, reject, or remove any job posting that violates these Terms or our content guidelines, at our sole discretion and without refund.

4. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share your password with third parties.
• Notify us immediately at hello@jobsforexpats.de if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.

5. Payment Terms

Job listings on JobsForExpats.de are offered as one-time purchases. By purchasing a listing, you agree to the following:

• All prices are listed in Euros (€) and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. German VAT (Umsatzsteuer) will be added where applicable.
• Payment is due in full at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
• Each purchase covers a single job listing active for 60 days from the date it is published. Listings do not renew automatically.
• Refunds are provided at our discretion. If a job posting is removed by us for violating these Terms, no refund will be issued.
• Businesses established in the EU with a valid VAT ID may be eligible for reverse-charge VAT treatment in accordance with EU VAT Directive 2006/112/EC.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and design — is the property of JobsForExpats.de or its licensors and is protected by German and international intellectual property laws.

By submitting content to the Platform (such as job postings, profile information, or reviews), you grant JobsForExpats.de a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobsForExpats.de shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any job posting or candidate profile, and we are not party to any employment agreement entered into between a job seeker and an employer. Any disputes arising from a job application or hire are solely between the relevant parties.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under German law (including liability under § 521, § 599, and § 690 BGB where applicable).

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law provisions.

To the extent permitted by law, the courts of Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform.

If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you may also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence. The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
